How to Keep Feeling Cool in Your Backyard

The summer is right around the corner and with that, it marks the start of the BBQ season! While you might not be able to invite friends and family over this year, there are no rules against hanging out in your own backyard!

You can absolutely throw a barbecue for people in your own house. And people who have been quarantining together don’t have to stay six feet apart. If your neighbors are hanging out in their backyards, too, that’s fine, but be sure to stay — at least — the required six feet apart from anyone who you don’t live with. That means it’s probably best to grab a burger, a cold beverage and retreat to your own stoop or side of the fence.

Use these tips to keep your household cool and comfortable.

Cool off
Even as the sun goes down, the temperature can still be hot and stifling. Ensure that everyone feels comfortable on your patio or in your backyard with our outdoor fans. They create a gentle oscillating breeze to keep guests feeling cool, and feature a stylish design.

And if the summer evening is especially sweltering, bring out the Misto® misting fan. Simply attach it to a standard garden hose and then sit back and relax as you enjoy its refreshing mist flow.

Keep bugs at bay
Nothing ruins a barbecue like a swarm of insatiable mosquitoes or other pesky warm-weather bugs. Outdoor fans play a dual purpose in addition to keeping you and your family feeling cool – their breezes also help keep bugs away!

Remove Interior Dust with an Air Purifier

It’s summertime, so expect some dirt and pollen to be floating in the air, too. An air purifier can suck these particles into secure containment, improving the quality of your home.
